Evidently, this year’s tomato crop did not get enough sun. There was an abundance of wind and clouds. Therefore, I have a bumper crop of green cherry tomatoes. I will have to “vine” ripen them inside. Hopefully, they will still taste their usual…delicious.
With the October chill in the air, it is surprising that the tomatoes are still ripening on the vine. I was especially happy with today’s harvest, considering a ground squirrel made off with the purple potatoes
Trying to pick the best cover crop for the cold winter. Oats and peas will probably win out this year–due to pressing time constraints. The sheep will have a more diverse menu in ’22.
